Witam , zakładając ten wątek mam nadzieję na dyskusję na temat czy warto kupować złote krążki. Jako właściciel 114 płytek z rejonów rocka i bluesa mogę coś podpowiedzieć bądź ostrzec przed kupnem chłamu ( mam na myśli wydanie a nie zawartość - chociaż i tu są wpadki). Dlaczego piszę też o płytach alu, dotyczy to tylko płyt wytwórni MFSL które zostały zremasterowane według firmowej recepty (analogowo i w klimacie czasu ich nagrywania), zresztą na aukcjach osiągają odpowiednie ceny.

Johnny Winter "Second Winter"UDCD753 z najlepszym moim skromnym zdaniem kawałkiem Mistrza "fast life rider" czyli jeźdzcy łatwego życia.Płytka blues-rock-rock'en'roll'owa.
Edgar Winter " Edgar Winter's White Trash"płytka rockowo-soulowa z przewagą soulu w typowym stylu Edgara.

Muzycznie bracia Winterowie są z różnych planet - miliony kilometrów od siebie.

Płytki zrealizowane doskonale, słucha się z przyjemnością , jak wszystkie realizacje MFSL.

Właśnie sobie słucham Muddy Waters - Folk Singer na MFSL , piękna rzecz ...

Jeśli miałbym wydawać tyle kasy na nowe wersje znanych mi płyt pewnikiem kupiłbym analogi. I to te aktualnie remasterowane na lampowych magnetofonach,w wersji na 45 rpm. Pluję sobie w pysk za kupno japońskiego remastera Pretty Things - Parachute. Cóż za debilny cukiereczek ze ściętą dynamiką/konturami. Będę musiał podmienić płyty u bratowej. Ona się nie kapnie, a ś.p. bratu raczej wszystko jedno.....

Wybacz Jagger, brak czasu , weny , za mało alkoholu we krwi lub odwrotnie , dlatego nie odzywałem się.
Muddy Waters " Folk Singer" UDCD593, Ultradisc II, nagrana w 1963 roku. Jedna z "pereł" w mojej kolekcji złotych płyt , szkoda że nic więcej Muddego nie wydano na złocie ( myślę o płytkach autorskich , bo grającego u innych jest kilka). Znamienne dla naszej płytki jest to że jako drugi gitarzysta występuje młody wtedy Buddy Guy, i o mój Boże jak on grał i to na akustycznej gitarze, jest to superrr mistrzostwo świata w grze obu Mistrzów.Dodatkowo wytwórnia zamieściła notę dla audiofilów że podczas masteringu , pozostawiono , naturalne odgłosy ze studia, odzywki muzyków , nie korygowano dźwięku który wynikał z ustawienia sprzętu w studiu i sposobu gry muzyków. Mimo tego jest to bomba.

Na tej płytce jest jeden szczególnie mnie inspirujący(czyt.podniecający)kawałek a mianowicie TAX FREE, monster rockowy, zresztą reszta utworów jest w wersjach równie zajebistych. Ten koncert jako całość jest wg. mnie jednym z najlepszych Heńka.Bym zapomniał jest to jedno z droższych złotek i trudno dostępne.

Wracając do Hendrixa udało mi się kupic następną złotą płytkę"Hendrix in the West"Polydor 831 312-2 z 78 roku wydaną przez Phonogram B.V. The Netherlands w 88 roku.
Jest to składak z koncertów w:

Opisane płytki Heńka AYE i ITW są płytkami alu pomalowanymi z zewnątrz na kolor złoty i tu mam problem czy to są nieudane lub pierwsze próby pozłacania płytek , co nie zmienia faktu że brzmią rewelacyjnie co ma odbicie w ich cenach aukcyjnych. Możecie koledzy spróbowac ich szukac np. na e-bayach.

Mam dwie złote płyty. Jedna Kind of blue M. Davisa, a druga która chyba zainteresuje wątkodawcę, to coś co się nazywa Really the best Creedence clearwater revival. Obie kupiłem w poł. lat 90-tych i zapłaciłem za nie jak za normalne edycje. Brzmią b. dobrze.

CCR musimy traktowac dwutorowo, albo szukamy i kupujemy Chronicles i Chronicles volume two wydane przez Fantasy rec.w USA mam obydwie , albo szukamy płyt wydanych przez DCC i masterowane przez S. Hoffmana i tu mam tylko dwie i nie mogę nic powiedziec czy różnią się jakością dźwięku , lecz z tego co mam to są te same masteringi, jedyna przykrośc to ta że DCC nie wydało I ( dla mnie najlepszej płytki CCR) natomiast na Cronicle jest większośc I , ale tu mały psikus SusieQ jest w dwóch częściach z singli i każda częśc na ineej płytce.

Co do jakości nagrań to słucha się bajecznie czyli normalnie tak jak nagrano pierwotnie.
O ich wartości niech świadczy to że nie spotkałem dotąd ceny końcowej poniżej 150,00 US$ za nowy egzemplarz AD

Niekiedy to żal mi serce ściska jak czytam Wasze posty.Ja mogę sobie tylko pozwolić na zwykłe CD i to baaardzo rzadko.Całe szczęście,że obkupiłem się w latach 1992-1998.Ma to też swoje plusy, bo wtedy robiono najlepszy dźwięk na CD.

Wydania, które wymienia Andrzej brzmią DOKŁADNIE tak samo jak pierwsze, standardowe edycje kompaktowe LZ.
Wykorzystują DOKŁADNIE ten sam mastering, mianowicie LZ I,II,III - Diament, LZ IV - Sidore.
W momencie pojawienia się na rynku (i przez czas pewien jeszcze) sprzedawane były w kategorii Nice Price.
Obecnie ich wartość nie wynika z jakości brzmienia (bardzo dobrego swoją drogą) lecz z faktu iż seria była "krótka" i w jakimś stopniu złoty kolor krążka robi swoje :-)
Aha, w żadnym wypadku NIE są to krążki 24k gold, jedynie pokryte farbą koloru złotego (szczegóły niżej).

I can´t exactly remember when, I guess it was 1988 when WARNER GERMANY released a series of slighty more than 40 "gold coloured" titles in cooperation with the "BILD Zeitung". They called the series "40 golden greats". All of the CD´s were standard CD´s from the Warner NICE PRICE bargain program. Technically the CD´s were treated with a colour hybrid technique that makes the aluminium CD shiny like gold. ALL OF THE CD`S ARE STANDARD CD´S. NO SPECIAL MASTERING LIKE MoFi or DCC. WARNER used the same technique when they produced 1200 "gold versions" of the album "In Blue" by THE CORRS. This title was a freebee for the 1200 employees at the Warner christmas party in 1999.
If you mark your CD with a soft pen and then wipe the mark off with isopropanol the "gold" will disappear and you see a standard aluminium CD. Sorry folks to tell you that.......

Zbliżają się święta , wielu z nas szuka sobie lub komuś prezentu, z powodzeniem może być to płytka 24kT gold.
Kilka uwag ogólnych:
-płytki z MFSL mamy w trzech postaciach Ultradisc I produkcji japońskiej bez dodatkowej okładki na pudełko, UltradiscII produkcji USA z dodatkową okładką zewnętrzną na pudełku , obie wersje płyt powinny być w pudełku z podnoszonym "trayem"(nie mam polskiej nazwy),trzecia wersja to mini-lp w limitowanej wersji , jest to nowość firmy.Którą wersję wybrać UDI czy UDII , nie wiem i chyba nigdy się nie dowiem ponieważ nie kupię obu wersji. Znawcy i miłośnicy twierdzą że UDI jest lepsze, myślę że chodzi im o to że jest to najbliższe analogu?!?, dodatkowo dwupłytowe komplety mają kartonowe zewnętrzne pudełko i dodatkową książeczkę z opisem i zdjęciami.
-płytki DCC powinny być w pudełku z trayem, posiadać zewnętrzne tekturowe pudełko (slipcase) i mieć dodatkową kartkę z reklamą firmy, jest kilka płytek wydanych w dwóch wersjach z i bez slipcase .
-płytki Audio Fidelity tak jak DCC slipcase.
- płytki RYKO oprócz Zappy Hot Rats mają dodatkową obwolutę z wycinanką AU 20 ( bardzo trudno tę obwolutę zachować w odpowiednim stanie)dodatkowo powinna być dodatkowa kartka z certyfikatem i numerem kolejnym limitowanej edycji.
- płytki Columbi i Avenue Gold Collection mają kartonowe slipcase.
- płytki japońskiego Sony nie mają tylnej wkładki do pudełka , tylko jest książeczka.
