"Playing games with English idioms. Part II" - poem
"Playing games with English idioms. Part II"
Looking at the church I see only bricks
I have all your letters at my fingertips
Sorry to throw you in at the deep end
And hope you're not gone and I am still your friend
Don't pull my leg - I'm fully serious
The longer I know you I am more curious
I am whistling in the dark - to be more reliable
To be less depressed I eat vegetables
When I am eating meat - start shooting the breeze
It's not me - my thoughts are starting to freeze
Human body consists of veins, meat, bones
And the girl of the name "Spirit" - When does she come?
I must make all my critics eat their words
But before - gonna listen to "Lord of the Boards"
So keep your fingers crossed for me!
Forgive me for all obstacles that I couldn't see
