"Nuclear Power Plants" - poem
"Nuclear Power Plants"
Back to twenty-two years ago
There was a powerful travel trip
To Slovaks we said "Hello"
Got there by bus listening to "Get a Grip"
"Bohunice" and "Mochovce" Power Plants
We went there by bus - Volvo 9700 Coach
Universities prayed for some grants
We had no intention to poach
We were young, knowledge eager
One before last semester of University
Our engagement was much bigger
We wanted to join Big Energy Society
Slovaks showed us a pill of Uranium
It was a substitute for many tons of coal
Looking at watch made of titanium
Listening to jazz and rock 'n roll
We saw steam turbine and nuclear reactor
It was so clean and tidy there
Iron Maiden released "The X-Factor"
Still in my mind "Where Eagles Dare"
Two Professors who went there with us
Mr. Jerzy Stańda and Mr. Mieczysław Lech
We were telling jokes and didn't avoid discuss
Thought a lot of King Crimson, Yes and MECH
Żarnowiec was always a Polish destination
There were some dreams, plans, theories
Today morning on TV saw some cognation
The plan is real - not from memories
The New Power Plant is going to be built
Choczewo, Lubiatowo - next to the Baltic Sea
The incompetence of Polish dreams will finally be killed
Maybe one day we'll drink together English tea
