niewiele ma wspólnego z 800 i 900 a jest poprawioną wersją naprawdę udanego TX-8050 . Sonicznie prawdopodobnie identyczny zmiany w sekcji DAC , oprogramowania sieciowego oraz dodano funkcje blu i wifi. Niestety wzrost ceny o ok 20-25 %.

handel internetowy polega zbyt często na oferowaniu produktów które są u producenta lub ponadlokalnego dystrybutora . Model TX 8160 nie będzie sprzedawany w Europie ( a RMS sugeruje że ma go w ofercie ) tylko wersja TX 8150 czy odmiana bez percepcji typowych amerykańskich nośników ale jednocześnie posiadająca moduł DAB + .
